Any Suggestions?

We've been debating boy names since before we found out we were pregnant! We already agreed on a girls name (isn't that how it goes!), but are having a harder time with a boy name. We've pretty much got it down to a few, but are still throwing around other names and see what we come up with. We've only got 17 weeks to go!

So--I'm opening it up for suggestions! Just curious. The catch is it has to not change much in Spanish and English. So no Jorge/George Pedro/Peter Pablo/Paul.....you get the point. Alisia is not AleSHa in English, everyone calls her Alisia, the Spanish pronunciation. Same with Caleb, but the accent is a bit different in Spanish. Also no off the wall names that are impossible to pronounce in the other language ...Spanish has a ton of those. Geesh, choosing a name is hard enough when you only have one language!

Regardless of what name we choose, I'm so glad God already knows and loves this little one. Psalm 139 has a deeper meaning when I read it now that I'm pregnant. All of our days are in His book before they come to be (v16).

"For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb."
Psalm 139:13

Since you asked ;0)....

I love Isaac in Spanish....so beautiful!!! I just think it would go so well with the names already in your family.

I can't wait to find out what you guys decide. I am curious, though, what does Caleb want to name him? It is always so cute to see what the littlest one wants...I remember when Walker wanted to name a brother 'Nemo', ha ha!!!

we have the same problem/challenge when it comes to names. we've still not found a girl's name we agree on so it's a good thing we've not had a girl yet! ha! =) if that day comes we'll be needing help too! ;)
i totally agree with not wanting a name that totally changes like peter/pedro, etc. i have many friends who have done it, but i always wonder if that's confusing to a little one to have essentially 2 different names.
we've always had a ton of boy names.
our oldest is samuel which we love in both. we also call him sammy which works in spanish (although they want to spell it with just one 'm', but i don't care because it's just a nickname)
we like lucas though it's really just spanish it's becoming pretty popular in english too.
i've also found several people who've named their sons mateo even though it's spanish so that one works too.
i also love isaac like veronica said.
joel is another one like caleb that stays the same, but a little pronunciation difference.
let's see there's jacob and joshua (which, though very uncommon in spanish can easily be pronounced with the hard 'english' j. we have a mexican friend named joshua and they pronounce it just like in english).
i can't think of any more right now, but i'll comment again if i think of any.
sorry this is so long! hope it helps. i kind of like the names that are spelled in either english or spanish, but are easily spelled and pronounced in the other. does that even make sense?? it's getting late and i have toddler brain! =)

Hi Brooke,
What about Isaiah? I know it is pronounced just a little different, but my Isaiah always knows when someone on the hispanic side of the family is calling his name. I also love Noah/Noe. Can't wait to see what yall name this little guy!!

I don't have any names for you. We want to adopt another son in the next couple of years and have been tossing around names and haven't come up with one. Our son, Logan wants to name him Pumpkin Head!

I like the Isaac name.
It converts well.

Mateo is also very cute.

Let us know as soon as you and hubby decide!

Mateo is very cute, but I like Isaiah too. Whatever you guys choose will be perfect.
