A friend of mine does a great job at describing the fair: "Heapin’ doses of denim, boots, big hair, smelly animals, greasy food, sugar and unsafe rides. Oh my, that sounds so delightful,

I guess everyone has their own reasons for heading to the County Fair. This year, we wanted to try something new so we bought tickets to the Demolition Durby! This was all of our first time watching something like this and we were all captured with amazement.
So after the Derby, we decided to walk around some. Most of the rides cost $3 or $4 a person to ride!I had to keep reminding myself, and the kids that we don't need to ride any rides since we already went to Hershey Park this year. We ended up letting them ride a few rides though! Ugggh! Thankfully, by that time the fair was almost over.

We always go to a demolition derby over the 4th. It's amazing that we can be so entertained by cars smashing into each other! ;o)
ur friend forgot one thing to describe the fair - MONEY PIT! ~lol~ we try to avoid it every year since we do our annual kings dominion trip...but of course, all the kids' friends r talking about the fair & asking them if we're going - ugh! glad u guys had fun at the derby - i have to admit...i always unfairly judged shows like that until i saw a tractor pull - all the noise & excitement of seeing it in real life, changed my opinion - it really was fun ;0)
