Glimpses of Grace

Ok, So I haven't done well updating. Every time I would sit down to write an update, I never felt like we had much going on to write about. Now that it's been a while, I realize that we have been busy and God has been gracious in taking great care of our family. As I look back over the past few weeks, He has shown me glimpses of His Amazing Grace.

"Praise the Lord all you nations, extol him, all you peoples. For great is His love towrard us and the faithfulness of the Lord endures for ever. Praise the Lord." Psalm 117

Welcoming Jarrod Back in the USA

So Wednesday afternoon Mom, Stephanie and I headed to the airport EARLY to pick up Jarrod coming home from Korea. His flight was supposed to come in at 9:07 pm and he would have had 17 hours of flying that day. On our way there, we stopped to pick up some of his good friends Nathan and Melody May for a surprise. He thought it would just be Mom picking him up. We got there plenty early and had alot of fun hanging out with Stephanie's sister Denise. We had tons of fun hanging out at her house, but we were all anxious to see Jarrod! So we headed to the airport.

Mom had a great idea of decorating the van w/ smiley faces. This is Me, Denise, Mom and Melody decorating the van. Denise also made a nifty shirt for Jarrod's arrival. The back said 101 days in counting!

We also made smiley faces as a part of his surprise since he didn't know who all was welcoming him home. We were all very excited to see him!

Then we found out that his flight was delayed TWICE.......we waited.......till almost midnight

But we did finally get to see him!

And I think he was excited to see us =)

On Thursday, Alisia and Caleb couldn't wait to see him! We went to mom's house after Alisia finnished her home work. They were both all over him.

Alisia made this special sign for Jarrod "Welcome Home I LOVE you!"

He even pulled out some special gifts for them

This is Caleb and Jarrod posing like many of the Koreans--giving the "V" for Victory

It's been great seeing him and talking to him. Pray for him as he restarts life here, gets his body adjusted to Virginia time, sees friends and family, and plans a wedding!

We're gonna try this out!

We have decided to join our friends and family in the blogging world. Not that our lives are so exciting to follow, but it's been such a great way for us to be in touch with what is going on in the lives of so many others. And it's much easier than sending out a link to our facebook page every time we post pictures of birthday parties, graduations, and vacations. With that said, we should have maybe started this at the begninng of the summer to avoid all that. If anyone has any tips on blogging, send them our way cause we'll be needing them! THANKS!

This is our most recent family picture from celebrating Caleb's 4th Birthday August 6th at Chuckie Cheese's. We had a blast! I think Caleb and Alisia had fun too =)
